In a field of a record-setting 1,600 stair runners,
German Thomas Dold, the world's fastest stair
climbing phenomenon blazing through 73 storeys
to the top of the iconic Swissôtel The Stamford in
a new World Record time of 6mins 46secs.
Women's champion Suzanne Walsham will also be heading to New York after succesfully defending her crown as the Women's best with her winning time of 8mins 29secs.
This year's race has inaugurated new categories including the Lovebirds Challenge where over
80 couples competed and was eventually won by
a couple from Hong Kong, Ng Chun Ting and
Cheung Lai Yin (Team CORES) with a combined
time of
10mins 25secs.
