Harassment in any manner or form on the Site or any of the Swissôtel The Stamford websites and digital platforms, including but not limited to e-mail and chat, in the form of obscene or abusive language is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including a Swissôtel The Stamford employee, host, or representative or other members or visitors on the Site is prohibited.
You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the Site any content which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable, or which may constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. You may not upload commercial content on the Site or use the Site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organisation.
All entries have to be made on the Swissôtel Vertical Marathon online portal. Please note that the organising committee will not be responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.
Completion of the official online entry form confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by the Swissôtel Vertical Marathon Rules and Regulations.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend any race category without prior notice.
The Organising Committee will not be liable for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising from the event.
Participants who fail to observe the Swissôtel Vertical Marathon Rules & Regulations will be disqualified.
The judges’ decision is final. Any disputes arising from participation will be referred to Arbitration in Singapore, under the law of Singapore Arbitration Court.
The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these rules and regulations of Swissôtel Vertical Marathon from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in so doing, they will take into account the interests of all the affected participants. Any update on the Rules and Regulations will be notified on www.swissotelverticalmarathon.com.
The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs and recordings taken during the event, for legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.
Registered participants agree to receive SMS text messages and electronic direct mailers from the Organiser regarding the event.
The participant must leave the race immediately, if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, Event Operations Director, Race Director, Referee and/or Security Officer.
Participants who complete the race in their respective categories will receive a customised e-certificate. The Organiser will not be responsible for any undelivered e-certificates owing to incorrect email addresses provided at time of registration.
Registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis, up to 2,400 participants.
Age categories will be based on your age as of 20 November 2016. Organisers reserve the rights to request proof of age from participants.
The minimum age for participation is 12 years old, as of 20 November 2016.
Race category and race entry are strictly non-transferable.
Registrations are not transferable and there will be no refund of registration fees for race day absentees or if the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Team Challenges comprise of two team members of any gender. Each team is required to cross the finish line hand-in-hand, and the final finishing time for the team will be based on the average of the combined timings of two participants of the same team. Any team member who fails to complete the race or adhere to the requirements will result in the disqualification of the team.
Whilst reasonable precautions will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants’ safety, participants are taking part at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising during the race.
Participants are strongly encouraged to consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.
Participants are advised against the consumption of alcohol or stimulants or any kind of drugs within 24 hours of their race.
Participants are to ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated on race day.
Participants are advised to dress lightly.
Should any participant feel unwell in the course of race, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical attention.
Should any participant wish to continue with race after seeking treatment and/or against doctor’s advice, he/she is required to complete a medical release form. The Organising Committee will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death thereafter.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable (i.e. severe physical harm) of continuing the race.
