Swissôtel Vertical Marathon 2011 has just concluded today with a record-breaking 2,100 stair runners climbing 73 storeys at Swissôtel The Stamford.

Matthias Jahn from Germany wins the Men's Open category in an outstanding 7 minutes and 16 seconds and Singapore permanent resident and 3-time Empire State Building Run Up champion Suzanne (Suzy) Walsham from Sydney, Australia clinching the Women's Open crown in 8 minutes and 23 seconds.

Both Matthias and Suzy will represent Singapore to the prestigious Empire State Building Run-Up in 2012 and will also receive a round trip airfare, accommodation and entry at the Nestlé Corrida Vertical Race in San Paolo, Brazil on 3 December 2011, the last leg of Vertical World Circuit.
